The Fuchsia Peony Story
Owner and Designer Sara Severance, CFD was honored with the Certified Floral Designer accreditation from the American Institute of Floral Designers in 2012. She opened her floral studio in 2013, creating beautiful wedding and special event flowers throughout NH, the ME seacoast, and North Shore/Boston MA, and has grown to own and operate the Ashland and Pittsfield NH retail flower shops in 2019 and 2022, respectively. She has been a member of Holly Heider Chapple’s Chapel Designers collective of specialty event florists since 2019.
Together with her amazing team of creatives, The Fuchsia Peony designs for over 70 weddings and events annually and delivers custom, lux floral arrangements daily throughout the lakes region and greater capital region of NH. Each year, members of the entire design team are offered continuing education in the incredible cut flower production and floral design field.

Locally Grown Matters
Our flowers come from all over the world, within the US, regionally in New England and nearby Canada, as well as right next door. During the NH growing season, we here at The Fuchsia Peony grow many garden flowers, and our fields burst with color and texture--stop by and see! We also partner with several local flower farmers right here in New Hampshire to purchase flowers–and there is nothing better than perfectly in season, locally grown flowers in bloom the week of your wedding or right on time for your special occasion.
